This is his story

 

“Back in 2017, I was around 250lbs, incredibly overweight and depressed. I did research on nutritional lifestyle diets such as ketogenic diet and I started working out. I cut out all fast food, drank water, ate a ketogenic diet of high protein, high fat, low carbs foods, and was able to lose weight little by little. Unfortunately, in 2020 when both the gym and the restaurant where I worked at closed down during the Covid-19 pandemic, I started falling into old habits, being depressed making excuses, getting lazy, and eating junk food resulted in weight gain. Due to the quarantine, I stayed home and eventually stopped caring about my eating habits. Whenever I got bored, I would order fast food and high-calorie meals to treat myself and my family. I started putting weight on and eventually, I completely let myself go. I realized I had lost my motivation to work-out at home and was trapped in a vicious cycle of eating unhealthy and becoming lazy.

 

I saw the 1UP Transformation challenge on Instagram and realized that this could be the chance I need to get back into shape and to feel motivated to work-out again. I followed a high protein, low carb, moderate fat diet along with the 1up Nutrition Training Program and was able to lose 45lbs from 195lbs to 150lbs in 8 weeks. I feel better than ever and now have more energy than I have had in years.

The best feeling in the world is looking back at all your 1Up weekly check Ins and after finishing the challenge scrolling through them. It's very fun looking at the progress week by week. Trust me I know it's embarrassing because looking at my before pics I'm thinking "yikes I was a mess." And now I feel so thankful for the 1up Nutrition challenge for giving me the motivation to hold myself accountable and to take control of my life. Remember slow progress is better than no progress”
