This is his story:
“When I reflect upon the start of my fitness journey, I have to say I have been physically active all of my life. I grew up playing soccer, and then I transitioned to American football, which served as a catalyst that would eventually spark my love for resistance training. As a young kid, I was an undersized football player.
However, I decided right then and there that I may not be the biggest, but I will be the strongest. I embraced the grind of the weight room. There was just something about competing against my peers and constantly striving to surpass my limits that I could never get enough of. As one goal was accomplished another would arise. To me, it is a never ending process, where the journey is just as enjoyable and rewarding as the destination.
After football, I transitioned into powerlifting early in my college career. That decision continues to have a resounding impact on my life. It opened a world of opportunities and relationships that serve as another reminder as to why I enjoy being a part of the fitness community. I have gone on to hold Collegiate, State, National, and World records and titles within the sport. I recently transitioned over to bodybuilding and did my first ever show at the Ronnie Coleman Classic, participating within the men’s classic physique division where I placed first overall.
I did not get to where I am in my fitness journey overnight. It took many years of hard work and consistency in my efforts to eventually get to where I am. Consistently doing a lot of the little things right is what makes the big things happen.”
