This is her story:
“I heard about the 1Up Transformation Challenge when Alexe Ortiz, last year’s challenge winner, encouraged me to join. I had no idea how much it would change my life. Alexe’s support and motivation pushed me to strive harder and achieve goals I never thought possible. I couldn’t have done it without her.
At the start of the challenge, I was in a really tough place emotionally. Life felt overwhelming, and the gym became my sanctuary, the one thing I looked forward to every day. I quickly fell in love with working out and watching my body transform gave me a sense of accomplishment and purpose.
One of the biggest obstacles I faced during the challenge was within myself and making sure I really just kept moving. I faced losing my son on February 17th, 2024. It was an incredibly difficult time, but I knew I had to stay strong for my other two sons, who mean the world to me. Moms will understand – we never stop being moms, no matter what. Alexe Ortiz shared her own experiences with me and showed me how the gym helped her overcome her challenges. With her guidance, each day became a bit easier, and I began to look forward to my workouts.
Throughout this journey, I learned the importance of never giving up and always having something to look forward to. Setting goals and working towards them can make a huge difference in how we handle life’s challenges.
My overall experience has been incredibly rewarding. My advice to anyone starting their fitness journey is this: No matter how tough life gets, don’t let it define who you are. Be the best version of yourself for you and your loved ones.”
