I had always been naturally lean- until university. I was partying all the time, drinking and eating unhealthy foods, and not exercising whatsoever. When I saw pictures of me out one night, I could actually see how I looked, and just how big I let myself get- I couldn’t believe it. I knew I had to make BIG changes.
I made a promise to myself that I would give it my all- I would get myself in the gym. I would eat real, whole foods in a caloric deficit and make sure my macros were being reached. I dedicated time to not only weight lifting, but different types of cardio as well. I gave it my all- and I started to see results. It was at this moment I became so addicted- addicted to the results, addicted to feeling good and proud of myself, and addicted to creating more and more goals for myself- and feeling the satisfaction when I reached those goals, all on my own.
Fitness didn’t just become an end goal for me. I didn’t stop when I was “happy” with myself again- I kept pushing. And it has developed into this amazing lifestyle I want to encourage and motivate people to get into to! My healthy lifestyle has opened so many doors for me- I’m happier, I’m healthier, and I’m more confident and comfortable in my own skin.
I never thought I would be where I am today! I can’t stress enough that the most important thing is to stay consistent!! You will see results if you just keep putting the work in- into the gym, and into your diet. The changes are so rewarding, and I promise you they will come if you just keep working.
