This is his story
“Many years ago I considered myself healthy and in good physical condition. That changed in 2016 when my daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury from being hit by a drunk driver and my son was diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. My wife and I practically lived at the hospital while our daughter lay in a coma for 30 days and another 2 months in rehab. Those 3 months was when I stopped getting any physical activity and began eating unhealthy. My bad habits continued after we brought her home from the hospital. I watched my weight soar to the heaviest I’ve ever been, my cholesterol was through the roof, and I had lost a big portion of the muscle I once had. Fast forward to spring 2021. My doctor put me on cholesterol medication and told me it was crucial that I lose weight. I was feeling hopeless, embarrassed of my body and ashamed for letting my health go. It was time to make a change. I owed it to myself and my family. I stumbled across this challenge online and knew that this could change my life. Well, it sure has! I attacked my workouts and diet with every bit of energy inside me. Each day I felt better and better. I kept a daily checklist of workouts, supplements, food etc. and kept it with me at all times to hold myself accountable. The physical changes were not fast in the beginning, but I didn’t let it alter my drive because I knew if I stuck with my game plan then at the very least, I would be a healthier me than when I started. If I can give any advice, it would be stay CONSISTENT! If you miss a workout, have a cheat day, forget your supplements, it’s OK. Just keep moving forward and the results will be there. Today I am 33lbs lighter, I feel amazing, I’ve added a little of my lost muscle and my family is doing wonderful.
