“ I took a leap of faith and decided to participate in 1UP Nutrition’s transformation challenge because of the desire to become mentally and physically fit, and look like an athlete. Throughout my life, one of the biggest obstacles preventing me from achieving my fitness goals was over indulging in junk food before bed. My go to snacks often included peanut butter and milk, cheese, or cookies and sweet pastries. I often struggled to control my night time cravings, and my sleep suffered unless I satisfied those cravings. To overcome this, I mentally disciplined myself. I made smarter food substitutions, swapping the half jar of peanut butter, and two full glasses of milk for healthier alternatives. I found that my body responded to whole foods better. I would prep my meals in advance 1-2 times a week so I was not left wondering what my next meal would be. I started becoming more consistent with my workouts, completed a little cardio on an empty stomach, and included some intermittent fasting before my first meal. I added vegetables to my diet, and used 1UP nutrition supplements to boost my energy levels throughout the day. During the 1UP Nutrition 8-week transformation challenge, my energy levels were consistently high, and my mental well-being was consistent as well. My cravings went away for the most part, and I slept each night 7-8 hours. I learned to believe in myself, and keep my diet and physical fitness routine simple. Every day, I consistently logged my workouts, and stuck to the fitness plan that worked best for me.


For anyone starting their fitness journey for the first time, or starting it again for the 100th time, start by educating yourself on HOW your body reacts to certain foods and fitness regiments. Everybody is different, what works for one may not work for others.
