This is her story:

 

Ever since having my 4th child, I’ve struggled with weight. About 5 years ago, I decided to become a dance fitness instructor in hopes of losing weight. I even joined a few 1UP challenges because I wanted to take my fitness to the next level. However, I never really put my all into finishing those challenges because life got in the way.

 

In March of 2024, I ended up needing knee surgery due to a meniscus tear. I had to keep my knee straight for about 6 weeks and was horrible at maneuvering crutches so ultimately gave up on moving much from the couch. I became depressed from not being able to go work out and be around other people at the gym. I tried to keep myself occupied but eventually I ended up gaining 40 lbs during my recovery.

 

I joined this challenge and decided this time I was going to make a change. Of course, some days were better than others but always focusing on protein was number one priority.

 

For breakfast, I had 1up Whey protein shake with collagen peptides and fiber plus, banana and Spinach. After workouts, I had Clear Protein, Bcaa’s, and Pure Rebuild in combination with high protein based dinner since some workouts were late and that would keep me full for the night.

 

For my workouts, I taught double classes (Cardio dance followed by Resistance class) 3 times a week. On my off days, I did my PT exercises along with heavier weights focusing on full body and incorporating workouts from the app along with my PT.  Since the stationary bike was a daily part of PT, I increased the time and resistance in order to increase my endurance because it was something I struggled with due to being inactive for so long. Most days I was so tired but pushed through with my planned routine for the day

 

Consistency was the key to achieving results. It also gave me the confidence to know that I can get back to my old self again.
