This is his story:
What’s up ladies and gents, I’m Kameron and I’d like to share with you my story on how I transformed my body and mind during the 1UP nutrition 8 week transformation challenge.
I have always been into fitness. I’ve gotten decently strong in my younger years being able to bench 435 pounds, squat 405, and deadlift 405, but I never looked apart. I’ve always just wanted to be lean and aesthetic, but never really have due to bad eating habits and constant binging.
I had no idea that these types of challenges existed. As I’m scrolling through Facebook I come across the challenge and it said, “FREE” so of course I joined, And it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made.
The timing was perfect! Competition brings out the best in me. I knew I had to stay disciplined with my training, diet, and recovery if I had any chance of placing.
I faced adversity early on in the challenge as I suffered a lower back strain due to improper form, while doing barbell squats. I was so dialed in, I did not let that stop me. I stayed positive and adjusted my training. It was not a perfect 8 weeks, it was quite challenging. Having to put instant gratification aside and staying focused on the ultimate goal was the hardest part, but most important.
In the beginning, I thought the most important thing to me was getting lean, but as the challenge went on, the urge to cheat on my diet or just give in grew. I learned that the most important lesson for me during this challenge was actually to prove to myself that I was capable of committing to something and following through and I did just that.
I’d like to thank 1UP Nutrition for the opportunity and also give thanks to the 1up group for all the motivation and support.
