We want to give a Huge shoutout to our New Years 8 Week #1uptransformationchallenge 2nd place winner Breanna Pollock @brepollock1014 on all of her hard work and amazing transformation!
This is her story.
I started my fitness journey about 10 years ago and it has been quite the rollercoaster. I was overweight most of my childhood and as soon as I was old enough to drive I felt I had more control over my life I wanted to make a change. I started going to the gym as a cardio bunny when I was 16. For about 4 years I was trapped in a vicious loose-gain cycle. In 2013 I started working with a trainer at the gym. I learned a lot from her, lost 30 lbs then found out I was pregnant. I put everything I lost and then some back on. After having my first daughter I never fully recommitted to the gym but I did end up loosing most of the weight. Fast forward two years. I was about 3 months out from my wedding and I wanted to look my best. I found a coach on Instagram who not only helped me to reach my goals in time for my wedding but introduced me to 1up nutrition products. About two months after getting married I was expecting again. I told myself this time would be different. I continued going to the gym daily but my nutrition was not always 100%. After having my second daughter I couldn't lose the weight. I returned to the gym about 7 weeks postpartum but nothing changed. Having another baby was tiring. I couldn't get myself to meal prep and used my exhaustion as an excuse not to fully commit. January of 2019 I decided to make a lifestyle change. No more rollercoaster. My older daughter had her 4 year checkup and she was going down the same path I did as a child. I wasn’t going to let that happen. When 1up announced their new year’s challenge it was just what I needed. The meal plan showed me that living a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to be bland and boring. Since the beginning of the year I have faced many challenges, I've been frustrated, I've hit plateaus, I've wanted to quit, but I haven't given up and I don't ever want to go back.
