Congratulations to our 2020 Fall 8 Week #1uptransformationchallenge Female 3rd place $4,000 cash prize winner Sandra Garcia @kikis_chula
This is his story
“My name is Sandra Garcia, I am 29yrs old. My weight loss journey started 2yrs ago November 1st 2018 at 200+ lbs. I was miserable, unhappy, unhealthy, when I decided to change my lifestyle for the better. I was tired of being tired, tired of feeling like crap, sad, disappointed and absolutely having no self-love. I worked very hard to lose around 70lbs total, but then Covid started along with being in quarantine most of the time and I started falling off the wagon little by little. Depression and Anxiety hit me and I couldn’t find a way to get myself back on track, until I found 1upNutrition and they posted a challenge sign up, so I said to myself "stop wishing and start doing something about it" and that’s exactly what I did, I signed up for the 1Up Transformation Challenge.
During the 8 week challenge, I had to push myself every single day to work out. I have 3 kids (5,7,11), a husband and a Full-time night shift job. I made sure I meal prepped for the entire week, I followed my meal plan & workout routine that 1Up Nutrition provides. I was very committed into finishing the 8 week challenge strong. Joining the challenge along with the Facebook group they have was exactly what I needed to bring my motivation sky high. I can definitely say I am so proud of myself because I've come so far with struggles and obstacles, but never giving up. The sweats, tears, the many times I failed was absolutely worth it, I am stronger and healthier now.
My tip for anybody who is about to start their weight loss journey is to ALWAYS remember no matter how slow your progress is, never give up, always be patient! Everyone starts somewhere and don't ever compare yourself to others. Educate yourself on how to meal prep, control food portions, and exercise daily. You would be amazed what your body can do. And it doesn't matter how long it takes you as long as you are doing something about it and not giving up.”
