This is her story:
“In 2020 for what seemed like the nine thousandth time in my life, I once again attempted to lose weight and feel better about the way my body looked. I found out about 1Up Nutrition through a small weight loss group and was able to try the protein shake which was cookies and cream, to my surprise, the taste was unbelievably on point and peeked my curiosity to learn more. I downloaded the app, found their Facebook page which led me to entering the 2021 new year transformation challenge, I placed 5th but little did I know what hardships lied ahead. Shortly after I lost a family member then followed by a failed marriage, in turn I gained every bit of weight plus 20 extra pounds that I worked so hard to loose and of course once again I gave up. In June of 2023 one night as I got out the shower I looked at myself in the mirror and instantly broke down….purely disgusted of how I looked and I’d had enough! beyond enough and joined up for the 2023 summer transformation challenge. I was over the fear and anxiety of how I looked in pictures and how I looked and felt wearing my clothes. At the beginning of challenge…..sure I felt scared that I would quit……I was scared of another hardship getting in the way and breaking me down. So instead of creating some big off the wall plan like I usually do, I talked with a 1Up coach, discussed which supplements I’d best benefit from based off my needs & wants, then literally focused each day one at a time. Overall I really feel what made the difference for me this time is when I mixed discipline with consistency and I quit giving up.”
