This is her story
“Hey y'all! About 2/3 years ago, I started a transformation challenge or two, but never took them seriously to the point where I can say I truly participated. However, this time around something was different. I really wanted a change. My highest weight was 174 in July 2020. I just felt physically terrible. I couldn't sleep well. My body hurt. From that point, I've tried various workout programs. None of them failed. They all served their purpose and helped me to get moving and shed some weight. For that I'm grateful. I joined this challenge because I plateaued with my weight loss. I'm someone who constantly rollercoastered... making progress then losing it. I wanted to try something different, and I wanted to see what would happen if I paid attention to consistent exercise and macros. That's why I came back to the challenge. The prize money is what motivated me for the first three weeks, but after that I noticed what was motivating me was how great I felt (and that the weight really was coming off). Sure the money is a nice incentive and motivator, but at a certain point I was more motivated to finish the challenge just to see how far I could go. ... For anyone just starting their fitness journey, I would say to choose workouts that you enjoy and be kind to your body. Workout more than not. Be mindful in your eating. If you're doing something you enjoy, you'll be consistent. Drink lots of water. Get ample sleep. Trust the process! With that being said, I personally gained a pound or two after the last challenge (Things happen. Holidays. New Job. Life.) I'm trying not to beat myself up because progress has not been lost. I will see everyone in the next challenge! :)”
