“Up until college I was an athlete. For years, my long practice hours helped me stay in shape. In college I tried working out in the gym and eating the right diet, but didn’t really know what to do or how to do it. This led into years of my “roller coaster” weight. Fast forward to about a year ago, I saw how much I’d let myself go in a family photo, I then knew I had to make a change. I lost a couple of pounds over a few months with workouts and a new diet but I knew I needed something more. That’s when I saw the 1UP Transformation challenge and I knew that the competition, mixed with the workout/ nutrition guidance, supplements, etc., would give me the final push I needed to hit my goals.
The workouts were challenging and sticking to my diet was not easy. But after the 2nd week I started to notice changes. I got through the workouts better and my diet was easier to stick to. By Week 4 I was determined. I kept seeing results I NEVER thought I could achieve. I started to feel like an athlete again! By week 8 I felt proud of what I had accomplished, for staying motivated, for improving little by little every day. I was able to drop 15lbs by the end of the challenge, but even better than that, I gained strength and knowledge! My overall experience was great and I recommend others that need a little extra push/ guidance, to do the challenge too. I was able to learn through it that you CAN achieve your goals, And living a healthy & fit life is about finding what works for you from the inside out. Change takes time and work, so don’t give up!
