I started working out after I had my daughter. I was the least toned that if ever been in my life (understandably), but it made me want to do something. So, I started with at home workout videos and I saw some progress and it felt good to be moving, but I wanted more of a challenge. So, I found a beginner weightlifting program online & I loved it. It was just the challenge I was looking for, and the newbie gains were motivating. It has been a lot of work, but it’s amazing to see what my body is capable of and it’s exciting to be able to progressively lift more than what I’d ever expected.
I think to find a good fitness routine, we all have to explore and find what works best for us. And that doesn’t mean it won’t change. In the middle of my weight lifting process I decided I wanted to run some half marathons. So, I trained, kept up with some light weights, and I did the dang thing. Then I got tired of running so far and went back to weight lifting.
So, whether you are just starting out or have been working out for a while, I want to remind you that you are doing AMAZING. You don’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. Remember, some people have been at it for years, and their results are a result of that...So don’t compare your page 1, 5, or 10 to someone else’s page 300. Just keep at it & the results will come.
