Congratulations to our Summer 8 Week #1uptransformationchallenge female 1st place $10,000 cash prize winner Ovilmene Jean @onaturel365
This is her story
“ My fitness journey started about 5 years ago when I started exercising with my partner. I was never serious about the gym or working out until he made me fall in love with it. Throughout the years my weight has fluctuates, but never too drastic.
That changed in 2017, when my weight went to 265 lbs! We were working non stop at our family restaurant and by the time we closed, we would rely on fast food. The worst part was that we did not have any time for the gym. That year we closed the restaurant after suffering loses from Hurricane Irma and I made a decision to lose weight and keep it off!
In 2019, I got pregnant and my weight went back up to 255 lbs. The pregnancy was rough. We found out we were expecting twins but unfortunately, one twin did not make it. There was so much going and weight loss was the last thing on my mind. One month after my son was born, I was being bullied by family members about my weight gain. I restarted my fitness journey and we started making up our own challenges to lose increments of weight.
During the beginning of the shutdown, I manged to lose 23 lbs. By my birthday in June and almost a year after Aden was born, I had lost a total of 56 lbs. While battling my fight with Covid-19, I found the 1upnutrition challenge and entered to try to get rid of the remaining weight. The 1upnutrition challenge changed my life in many ways! I am truly gratefully for the challenge and the results! It took a disciplined diet and I used the #1upnutrition supplements religiously to suppress my appetite, amplify my workouts and for optimum recovery.
Many times during the challenge, I wanted to give up but I realized I wasn’t doing this for me anymore, I was doing it for my son, who’s always cheering me on when I am doing an exercise! I was doing it also for my partner in fitness, Robens Thoby who always sees the best in me! I was doing it for the nay sayers who doubted me and lastly all the mamas out there.”
