This is her story
For as long as I can remember I struggled with my self-image. My weight has been up and down drastically, even as early as middle school and it only got worse as life went on.
I've always loved to be active, it's the food part that I struggled with. I truly believe my ups and downs in weight had a lot to do with my ups and downs in life. When I lost weight in the past it was from eating hardly anything and running miles and miles a day. I got the weight off but felt horrible. Maybe that's why I never stuck to it and the weight came back on so fast. But I didn't know any different way. I think that's why this challenge was so intriguing to me. It was weights and macros and all this stuff I never heard of. All these people showing these amazing results. I had to jump into the challenge myself.
First, I know the mind is in control. " The body won't go where the mind won't take it" so before the challenge even started, I was preparing my mind with positive, determined, and disciplined thoughts. Then I headed to the gym and literally had to YouTube every move that the app recommended because I knew nothing. But once I got the hang of it I absolutely fell in love with weight training. Some days were hard but most days my gym time is my fav time of the day.
Then I researched macros and supplements and learned if you line them up correctly, it takes your energy at the gym and multiplies it by 100%. So even though food has always been my struggle, I learned that it actually plays an enormous role in how you feel and perform. I look at it completely different now.
My advice would be to get your mind in check before starting this challenge. You will have days that are just down right horrible because we still live in a world where bad things happen and when they do, you won't be motivated to do good. But if u prepare your mind and line up your thoughts to what you want to achieve and let NOTHING get in your way, you will become more than you thought or could ever imagine.
